What kind of imperfections can I expect on a refurbished bike?

Our refurbished bikes have never been ridden on the road. They may be display models, bikes used for photo shoots, or units showcased at trade shows. They may show minor cosmetic imperfections (such as small scratches or handling marks), but these have no impact on their performance, safety, or reliability.

Why is the bike classified as "refurbished" if it’s new?

Because it has gone through our workshop a second time. Every refurbished Bastille bike is inspected, adjusted, and approved once again by our technicians. This additional quality-control process is what we call refurbishment.

Is the warranty still the same?

Yes, absolutely. A refurbished Bastille bike comes with exactly the same warranty as a new bike from our standard range.

What are the dimensions of the folded bike?

In its most compact version, the Bastille measures W82 x D33 x H80cm. It can be placed in the train's luggage compartment, just like a standard piece of luggage.

Are there accessories for the Bastille?

The Bastille comes with a carrying case to protect it when traveling by train or car.

There's also a compatible kickstand and a BASTILLE pannier rack, specially designed for folding the bike. It can carry up to 2 panniers, for a total of 15kg.

What gear configurations are available and for what uses?

3 speeds for city and everyday use. The efficiency of a 3-speed configuration for optimal bike weight (15.2kg). Sturmey Archer integrated gear hub.

7 speeds to go further. The performance of a 7-speed configuration for all types of gradient, in town and on the trails. Shimano Nexus integrated gear hub.

Does the Bastille fit all sizes?

The Bastille's geometry has been designed to be as universal as possible. It fits people from 1m60 to 1m90. There are two types of handlebars, straight or upright, for a dynamic or comfortable position.

We recommend that you try out the Bastille at our partner stores to find the configuration that suits you best.

Can I customize my Bastille?

The Bastille is made up of a maximum number of standard components to facilitate maintenance and allow you to customize your bike if you wish : pedals, grips, saddle, tires.

Why buy a Bastille folding bike?

The Bastille bike is a premium, fully-equipped city bike that folds up in seconds.

Easy to transport: Folded in its most compact form, the Bastille slips easily into public transport or in the boot of a car. It can also be stored at home or in the office, taking up less space than a regular bicycle.

Folded into the T position, the Bastille bike can be pulled along behind you like a suitcase, so it can follow you everywhere: in a lift, at the station, in your office or on an escalator, you won't need to carry it, it just slides along behind you.

Multimodal journeys: If you combine several means of transport (bike, train, bus), the folding bike allows you to move quickly from one mode of transport to another without having to find somewhere to park it.

Reduced risk of theft and wear and tear: The fact that you can take it indoors with you considerably reduces the risk of theft compared with a regular bike that you would have to leave outside. By storing it at home, you also avoid the risk of wear and tear or damage associated with narrow parking spaces.

Comfort and performance: Unfolded, the Bastille is an excellent urban bike, fully equipped for the city: hydraulic disc brakes, belt drive, hub with integrated gears, aluminum mudguard, etc. Its large 27.5-inch wheels give you comfort and stability in town and on the open road.
